I Want Change
Who doesn't?
Personal Thoughts
This is the first newsletter I’ve written. I’ve decided to focus more on building my personal brand going forward because I can see the benefits it brings. I want to get out there and do more. I’m looking for change in my life. Things are fine as they are, but I want more. The change I’m aiming for is earning a bit more money and creating more opportunities by putting myself out there. I believe the best way to make that happen is to double down on my personal brand and leverage it for growth. That sums up my thoughts and feelings for today.
Blog: Why I’m Pivoting Hire an Entrepreneur Back to Its Original Vision
I’m pivoting Hire an Entrepreneur back to its original vision. Instead of just focusing on agencies, it’s open to everyone again—more aligned with the brand and me. I’ve added new features, and now I’m free to blog, freelance, and keep building simple, effective projects.
Something I Think Is Really Cool Right Now.
Cold Email
Something that keeps coming back to me over the last month is outbound email. I think it’s really cool because, as a concept, it just works. Yes, it can feel a bit “spammy” when you’re sending it out, but I’ve always thought: if you have the ability to send emails at scale to thousands of potential buyers, you could launch almost anything within a few days.
It could be a physical product, a digital product — whatever it is, you can get out there and start selling. Obviously, it depends on what you’re offering, but the beauty of outbound email is that you can start from cold. You don’t need to build a social media account or grow a following. You can go from day one to generating sales almost instantly. I just think that’s the coolest thing.
I’ve been using Apollo to buy emails and sending them through Instantly, and I’ve actually been getting leads. The open rates are surprisingly high — around 70%, which feels a bit off, but it’s working. I’m getting responses, and with a customer lifetime value of around £3,000, and an acquisition cost of about £20 per customer, the numbers really make sense.
